We have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join the supportive team at St Mary's CPS, Orange.

About you
The new Grounds and Maintenance Officer will:

  • Be experienced in ground maintenance with the ability to carry out numerous gardening duties around the school ground (eg. weeding, edging, pruning etc)

  • Hold good knowledge of lawn maintenance and cultivation

  • Be prepared to care for our school chickens and maintain their enclosure.

  • Be able to work without supervision while meeting deadlines

  • Attend to minor maintenance issues around the school

  • Liaise with relevant trades when necessary

  • Have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team

  • Hold a current Working with Children’s Check

  • Hold a current White Card and Drivers’ Licence

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of the Catholic faith and mission of the school
