Werribee Open Range Zoo

Excursion / Last updated 4 years, 8 months ago

Werribee Open Range Zoo offers students a unique opportunity to discover the animals of Africa, Asia, North America and Australia, as well as Victoria's most endangered ecosystem, the Western Basalt Plains grasslands.

Extend the education experience with a safari tour to see amazing African savannah species roaming the wide open plains and explore the behaviours of the African Serval Cat up close in daily presentations.

Our education programs provide engaging wildlife experiences in immersive landscapes and link strongly to outcomes from VEYLDF, AusVELS and VCE Study Designs.

We offer an extensive range of school programs for all year levels, with direct links to conservation and research programs at local and global levels, access to unique resources and experts in the field and authentic projects that contribute to the conservation of our world.

Werribee Open Range Zoo also offers opportunities for students who are deaf or hearing impaired to access information in Auslan and/or captions and participate in questions and quizzes through OpenMi excursions.
