Penshurst Public School is a state-of-the-art newly redeveloped school with future and flexible learning spaces and furniture. The new redeveloped school can accommodate up to 1013 students across 47 homebases that nurtures collaborative teaching and learning in preparing our students with the skills necessary for an ever-changing and complex world. The newly redeveloped Penshurst Public School was officially open for full school operation in 2021.
Penshurst PS is located in the Georges River network of principals. With a population of 432 students, 92% of our student population are from language backgrounds other than English. There are three classes of hearing impaired students. These students are integrated for many subjects and help all students develop understanding and positive relationships with each other. The school generally performs above state averages in NAPLAN. The parent community is supportive of the school with a small but successful P&C. Penshurst PS provides students with quality educational programs delivered by highly qualified, dedicated teachers within a caring and nurturing learning environment.
With a strong academic focus, students enjoy a range of learning opportunities across an extensive curriculum. Our school offers a range of extracurricular activities such as sport, band, choir, dance, signing choir, chess, public speaking and debating. Our teachers show great commitment to our students and our school.

Penshurst PS has incorporated Positive Behaviour 4 Learning as the framework for student achievement and wellbeing.
