Lambton Public School is a K-6 primary school with 382 enrolments, including 33 Aboriginal students and 38 from a Non-English speaking background. The school was established in 1865 and has a long history of educating students. It is located in the Newcastle Network and enjoys strong partnerships with parents and the community. Lambton Public School receives equity funding to support students from Aboriginal backgrounds and for students from low socio-economic status communities. There is a strong focus on evidence-based practice with the goal of improving literacy, numeracy and school-wide wellbeing programs. The school offers a broad range of extra-curricular activities for students including sport programs, choir, debating and a school band. This position is responsible for providing expertise in relation to students with additional learning and support needs.
