Blackcat Education is a specialist recruitment consultancy which provides a focused, professional service handling school principal and other senior management appointments within New Zealand Education. Our team offers over 60 years first-hand experience in principal, teacher, advisor, consultancy and senior HR management roles in Education and Education Services in New Zealand and Internationally. We have worked for state and independent schools as well as providing recruitment services for an extensive range of commercial and not-for-profit organisations serving the primary, intermediate, senior and tertiary sectors.
We feel privileged to be given the responsibility by a client to find and present a shortlist of the strongest possible candidates for a particular role. It gives us the opportunity to help both client and candidate, putting together a mutually beneficial ‘match’ that may never otherwise have occurred. When we accept a client brief, we know that someone’s life is going to change and that the school or organisation will change as a result of their contribution, very often for years to come.
We treat our role with the utmost care and take great pride in our passion for getting it right. The whole process can be extremely stressful, particularly for the candidates – nobody likes being assessed and certainly not being rejected. Although it is a fact of life it doesn’t make it any more palatable.
The combination of our extensive experience together with our honest & genuine approach gives us a unique perspective and a distinct advantage in understanding the real requirements of our clients and candidates.
