About the role -
We are seeking an engaging and effective School Officer - Visual Arts and Technologies Assistant to join Mary MacKillop College in 2024. The successful applicant will be experienced in a similar role in a school or educational setting. This is Term Time, Level 3 School Officer Position working 26 hours per week.

The role holder will the support Visual Arts and our Technologies Department, reporting to the Head of Faculty - Technologies. Duties may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Order, purchase and prepare materials for demonstrations and classroom lessons
  • Organise and maintain supplies and equipment
  • Provide some administrative assistance to the Head of Faculty
  • Assist with setting up displays in the art gallery
  • Set up practical activities for students and classes
  • General preparation and tidying for the Technology Faculty

The successful applicant will: 

  • Support the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Have a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to supporting our teams (Visual Arts and Technology).
  • Provide friendly, efficient service to all stakeholders across the two departments.
  • Work diligently and quickly to support the relevant teams.
  • Be able to work in a fast-past, school environment.
  • Possess and maintain a positive notice for Working with Children and Young people (Blue Card).
  • Liaise with the WHS when required.
