About the Role

As the Head of Department (Curriculum) of HPE & Technology you will be responsible for working with the Executive and Senior Leadership.
Teams to contribute to the school's culture. Working as part of the school's leadership team you will be instrumental in developing growth mindsets, pedagogical practices and curriculum knowledge of teachers within your faculty. Your success will come from your ability to develop and nurture positive working relationships with and between students, parents and staff in a large and diverse school community.

The successful applicant will have responsibility for:

  • Working collaboratively with all members of the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams to enact the School Philosophy and Strategic Plan.
  • Actively participating in learning, research and ongoing professional development that enable you to improve both as a leader and a classroom teacher.
  • Setting and maintaining high standards for student performance by leading your faculty to uphold the spirit of CSDE with a specific focus on improving learning outcomes and fostering a growth mindset.
  • Leading calibration and moderation practices that build strong alignment between curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.
