About Tagai State College:

We are unique and unlike any other school in Qld. Our 17 school campuses and TAFE facility are spread across 15 islands and 48,000 square kilometres of ocean. We provide education from Kindergarten through to Year 12.

Role:

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited, to the following;

  • Assist the Executive Principal with administrative support for LAC facility housing
  • Be the escalation point for the resolution of matters relating to Local Housing facilities management of the college
  • Coordinate procurement activities by sourcing assets, whitegoods and furniture
  • Coordinate property inspections
  • Coordinate the logistics of tenants relocating properties
  • Report on Local Housing activities, maintenance issues or WHS issues to the correct authorities
  • Ensuring that policy, procedures and guidelines are adhered to across State Tenancy Authority and Department of Education Housing
  • Work with external stakeholders such as QBuild and DoE infrastructure team to deliver capital refurbishment programs and ongoing maintenance of properties
  • Create 'real time' live Property Portfolio of tenant housing on Sharepoint
  • Induct tenants upon arrival to remote teacher housing
  • Oversee exiting of tenants including exit condition reports from teacher housing
  • Ensure accuracy of paperwork for State Tenancies Authority and DoE Housing
  • Prepare accurate documentation for LAC Meetings and act as secretariat taking minutes of LAC meetings for the LAO

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills. Having knowledge or a skillset across facilities, infrastructure, property management or housing would be an advantage.
