Experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant Vacancy, Thornton Cleveleys - £90 per day

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join the team at an SEN school in Thornton Cleveleys and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide individualised support and guidance to students with special educational needs. Your role will involve assisting students in their academic and personal development, implementing educational plans, and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Job Type: Full-time (part time can be considered)
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and adapting learning materials as necessary.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to assess student progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
  • Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role within an SEN setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a commitment to their holistic development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Knowledge of relevant educational strategies and techniques for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
