Within this, the newly created Human Capital Management team sits within the Information and Technologies Branch of the People, Information and Communication Services Division, responsible for contemporary human capital management, payroll systems and corporate support services across the department.

About the Role and You:

The Human Capital Management team is investing in a multi-year, large-scale enterprise transformation program and is seeking an executive director to deliver this transformation.

Building and leading a team of circa 100 FTE, you will lead the selection and implementation of contemporary human capital management and payroll systems - migrating from or integrating with legacy HR and ERP systems.

With total project responsibility, you will lead the redesign of human resource management practices across the organisation.

You will be experienced in leading cross-functional teams across multiple concurrent and sequential projects or work streams, incorporating human resource management, financial management, procurement, information technology and data and analytics expertise.

To succeed, you will have delivery experience in complex digital and technology environments including:

  • Expertise in successfully implementing a multi-year, multi-million dollar digital transformational project in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Significant experience in project management with emphasis on strong project governance, planning and control, risk and issue management.
  • The ability to champion human-centred design principles throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that solutions are user-friendly, intuitive, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills with experience in end-to-end delivery of significant business systems and complex business change projects.
  • Strengths in business requirements gathering, analysis, problem-solving and coordination.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for team management and strong stakeholder engagement with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in building, managing and leading high-performance teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused outcomes.
  • Knowledge and utilisation of Prince2 project management methodology is preferred.
  • Formal qualifications in Project Management, IT or similar.

This leadership position is Brisbane CBD-based, city car parking, permanent fixed term contract (2+2).
