St Joseph's Catholic College, East Gosford is a systemic girls secondary school providing courses from Years 7 to 12. The school was established in its present form in 1967 at East Gosford on the Central Coast. It was founded by the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart to provide Catholic secondary schooling for girls in the City of Gosford. The mission of St Joseph's is to empower young women to act justly and to lead lives distinguished by faith in Jesus Christ, consistent application to learning, authentic relationships, confidence in mind and body and commitment to social justice.

  • Capacity to contribute to the school’s Continuous Improvement Cycle and is committed to student achievement
  • Qualified to teach PDHPE Stages 4 and 5
  • Ability to teach Stage 6 is advantage but not essential
  • Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners
  • Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students;
  • Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices
  • Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
  • Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning

Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4 year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.
