Chalmers Road School is a School for Specific Purposes (SSP) located in Strathfield that provides educational programs for students K12 with moderate or severe intellectual disabilities, and may have other concurrent disabilities. There are 11 classes of 74 students enrolled with 86% of the students coming from a non-English speaking background. The school provides personalised educational programs to enable all students to reach their potential framed in the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) K-6 Syllabus and 7-12 Life Skills Syllabus. Chalmers Road School promotes a positive learning environment using Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) across all environments and learning experiences.
