Resource Description

Welcome to the ‘From Farm to Plate’ learning module which demonstrates the different stages involved in the creation of Australian dairy products - from milk production on the farm to arrival at the supermarket. In delivering this module, your students’ will learn all about the Australian dairy industry; our farms, our people and our products. Your students will develop knowledge of how milk gets from the farm to the plate and what is involved in the day in the life of a dairy farmer. They’ll also develop an understanding of the different technologies involved in milk production, what foods are derived from milk and how they are made. To assist in delivering these topics in the classroom, you’ll find a range of curriculum-linked resources, including lesson plans, activity ideas and presentations, as well as a range of student worksheets and digital interactives.
