Above the red double doors that mark the entrance to my son's school, hangs a fluffy sound boom surreptitiously waiting to catch the chatter of school kids coming through the doors on a cold Monday morning, discussing what they got up to at the weekend. Somewhere else, a hidden camera records their movements.
