Decile rating ‘a blunt instrument’, but tries hard

As school leaders brace for the Ministry of Education’s release of the recalculated decile ratings on November 20, the ministry has spoken out assuring the country’s 2406 schools that roughly one-third have moved to a lower decile rating, one-third have moved up, and one-third have remained the same.
