    Trinity Grammar School is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher’s Aide. As a Teacher’s Aide you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities to enable all primary students the opportunity to help them work towards or fulfil their learning potential through access to the curriculum. You are committed, energetic and positive about working with students with special needs and able to work as part of a team. 

    General Description 

    Trinity Grammar School is the largest Anglican Boys’ day and boarding School in NSW with an enviable reputation and tradition for serving the educational needs of boys and young men over a number of generations. The School has campuses located in Strathfield (Preparatory School), Summer Hill (Senior, Middle and Junior School) and Field Studies Centre at Woollamia (Huskisson). Since its founding in 1913, Trinity has forged a reputation for out¬standing academic results, a caring pastoral programme and an emphasis on both tradi¬tional and community sports. Trinity has an enrolment of more than 2100 boys. 


    The Senior School is a member of the Combined Associated Schools of New South Wales and joins in the CAS Sports competition, while the Preparatory School and Junior School are members of the Independent Primary Schools Heads of Australia and participates in the IPSHA Sports and Cultural activities. 


    All members of staff are appointed by the Head Master and they are responsible to him for the overall performance of their duties. The Head Master delegates his authority to senior staff members for the effective management of the School.

    General Expectations

    As the Teacher’s Aide you will contribute to the provision of quality educational experiences by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities. The Teacher’s Aide will arrive at School allowing time to be ready for the beginning of the School day.

    Duties may include but are not limited to:

    •  Supervision of individuals and small groups of students under the direction of Classroom Teachers

    •  Work in collaboration with Classroom Teachers in the preparation of lessons, conferencing of students’ written work, and maintaining visually dynamic classroom displays

    •  Taking directions from Classroom Teachers in setting up activities and materials, and maintaining systems within the classroom

    •  Accompanying boys on Excursions with provision for extended paid hours when appropriate

    •  Playground supervision

    •  Preparation for home time

    •  Attending staff in-services where applicable

    Direction:

    •  Responsible to the Head Master through the relevant Master of the Preparatory School/Junior School.
