The Jollybops Science Show was established in 2002 and is a 6 time winner of the former NSW Department of Education Performing Arts Unit's Frater Award "Best Feedback from Schools" category. We are also a multi award winner at the NSW Education Expo. Created by experienced teachers Mark Nicholl and Trevor Atkinson, the show receives outstanding reviews by both students and teachers. All Jollybop Science shows presented support the new National Science Curriculum.

The Jollybops Science Show is a character based science show, bringing science alive for primary school students through exciting, stimulating and interactive demonstrations. Presented through the guise of the comic duo, the Jolly Wizard and Rusty the Robot (K-2) and the Jolly Professor (Dr Popoff) and Rusty the Robot (3-7), the shows combine colourful and explosive scientific demonstration, witty one liners, scientific dialogue and even science songs for the younger audiences. Pantomime, scientific explanations and humor are adjusted for the varying age groups leaving teachers as well as students, young to old wanting more.

Both our professional science communicators are passionate about science education and have been an inspiration to the 700,000 students and staff who have seen their shows throughout NSW, The ACT, Victoria and Queensland. They aim to inspire students and encourage a positive interest in science. The shows, and supporting educational material, are designed in line with the NSW Board of Studies Science and Technology Syllabuses as well as the new National Science Curriculum.
