Applications are now open for motivated, self-starters to join the Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst team as Casual Admin, Cleaners, Grounds and Maintenance Staff.

Who we are:
The Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst (CEDB) is encompassed by the Blue Mountains, Warrumbungle Ranges, the Pilliga, Macquarie River, Lachlan River, Abercrombie River and the Jenolan State Forest. The Diocese covers 103,680 square kilometres and comprises of Three Traditional Nations: the Wiradjuri, Gamilaraay/Gomeroi, and Wailwan nations.

CEDB is responsible for 33 schools, approximately 9,600 students and over 1,700 staff. What we are looking for (selection criteria):
Admin Staff:

  • A professional and personable disposition (in person and via telephone)
  • Ability to work in a team environment and multitask
  • Current First Aid qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Good time management and organisational skills

Canteen Assistants:

  • Adhering to a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for the canteen area, including but not limited to fridges, ovens, benches, all food preparation surfaces, freezers, and coolroom
  • Food preparation for service including lunch orders
  • Refill and restock supplies for sale, as well as, cleaning products and service materials

Grounds and Maintenance:

  • Be experienced in ground maintenance with the ability to carry out numerous gardening duties around the school ground (eg. weeding, edging, pruning etc)
  • Hold good knowledge of lawn maintenance and cultivation
  • Be able to work without supervision while meeting deadlines
  • Have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team
  • Hold a current Working with Children’s Check
  • Hold a current White Card and Drivers’ Licence

Cleaners

  • Ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Hold the ability communicate and work with a wide range of people
  • Use initiative and to work without supervision
  • Be flexible to the changing demands of the post
  • Take pride in their work
  • Possess relevant experience in a similar role
