The NZIP is unique as a professional body in that it brings together physicists from across the entire spectrum from schools to universities to the myriad industries and businesses that use physics or the skills physics graduates bring to those ventures.

At this year’s conference, as well as sharing and celebrating our innovations in science and science education, we will be highlighting some of the potential career paths for those who choose to study physics. The skills and traits physicists possess are widely recognised and we will use a new session at our conference to explore some of the perhaps more exciting or surprising jobs in which physicists find themselves engaged.
