Biennial CTU Women’s Conference 2017

The Biennial CTU Women’s Conference is to be held on Friday 14 to Saturday 15 July 2017 at the Renouf Foyer, Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington. The Conference theme is Mana Wahine - chosen to recognise the strength of women in unions.

The Conference theme is Mana Wahine - chosen to recognise the strength of women in unions.  There are four plenary sessions with confirmed speakers: Rachel Mackintosh, Kerri Nuku, Jane McAlevey (by video link), Te Atarangi Whiu and Cybèle Locke. We have a panel after the session with Jane McAlevey and another panel with young leaders. There will be eight skills-building workshops led by campaigners and their unions.

PPTA Te Wehengarua has spaces for a total of 16 women members to attend. Preference will be given to regional women’s coordinators and executive members, but please circulate information about the conference and the registration form around your branches too.

The attached registration form must be used in order to secure your place.  The registration cost of $150 will be met by National Office, but travel and accommodation costs are to be paid by either branches or regions. Please complete the registration form and return it to PPTA National Office by the deadline of Friday 26 June.
